Reimbursement of costs
Statutory health insurance funds
Statutory health insurance companies do not provide for reimbursement of fees for diet and nutrition consultations.
Private health insurance
When you take out private supplementary health insurance with an included outpatient plan, the insurance company usually pays the entire consultation fee. To do this, you submit the invoice and a referral from your general practitioner to the insurance company.
Self-employed entrepreneurs (SVS)
Self-employed individuals receive the "Health Hundred" from the Social Insurance Institution for the Self-Employed (SVS) each calendar year. The SVS therefore covers €100 for nutritional counseling. Further information about the "Health Hundred" can be found directly on the SVS website.
